Kathy A. Howe, CRCP®, CTFA, AIFA®

Kathy is an Executive Vice President for American National Bank of Texas and leads the Wealth Management Group that includes Trust, Trust Retirement, and Financial Planning/Brokerage & Advisory services. She has worked in the securities industry for more than 30 years including 8 years for international banks and governmental agencies in Europe. Kathy has built and managed retail investment programs for community banks in Oklahoma and owned several independent investment offices. She has served on the advisory board for Nationwide Financial, was a regular presenter at the LPL Financial national conference, and has authored numerous articles for trade magazines. She was an instructor for the Intermediate School of Banking at Oklahoma State University. Kathy has been recognized as one of the top 100 managers nationwide by On Wall Street, and a leader of one of the top 25 Largest North Texas Wealth Management Companies as recognized by the Dallas Business Journal in 2010.

Robert D. Roten, CPA, CTFA

Robert (“Bob”) Roten is Senior Vice President and Director of Trust Services for the Wealth Management Group of the American National Bank of Texas.  Mr. Roten supervises the Trust and Wealth Management retirement function and serves as Trustee of various types of personal trusts and employee benefit plans.  Bob specializes in serving as Trustee of Employee Stock Ownership Plans (ESOP) and advising various businesses on successful operations, turnaround business strategies and ownership transition planning.

Mr. Roten completed his Bachelor of Business Administration degree requirements, with a major in Accounting, at the University of Oklahoma where he graduated “With Special Distinction”.  Mr. Roten has been a Certified Public Accountant since 1977 and is certified in Oklahoma and Texas.  He has subsequently completed the Graduate School of Banking, graduating “With High Honors”, and the Graduate School of Bank Investments and Financial Management, both at the University of Colorado.  Additionally, he has completed the National Graduate Trust School at Northwestern University, Evanston, Illinois where he graduated “With Honors”.  Mr. Roten is a Certified Trust and Financial Advisor.

Mr. Roten serves on various community and charitable Boards, including most recently Ronald McDonald House of Fort Worth, Ronald McDonald House Charities of Greater North Texas, Easter Seals, and Tarlton Foundation.  Mr. Roten is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants, Tarrant County Chapter of the Texas Society of CPA’s, Institute of Certified Bankers, Business and Estate Section of the Tarrant County Bar Association, American Society of Pension Professionals and Actuaries, National ESOP Association, and member and past Chairman of the Tarrant County ERISA Group.

Lou Johnson, CFP®

Lou is a Trust Officer for American National Bank of Texas specializing in institutional asset management, personal trust administration and both estate and financial planning. She also serves as a member of the Trust Investment Committee.  Lou has achieved the designations of Certified Financial Planner® (CFP®) and Certified Trust Financial Advisor (CTFA).  She has a BBA in Accounting from the University of Texas Arlington. Lou was a principal in a regional accounting firm prior to joining American National Bank of Texas.  She is a current director for the Rockwall Area Chamber board of directors (having served as both treasurer and board chair), a member of the Rockwall Rotary Club and also serves on the board of the Rockwall Rotary Foundation.

Suzan Wooten

Vice President, Trust Officer specializing in Estate Management

Suzan joined ANB in 1991 with nine years trust and probate experience.  Prior to joining ANB she was employed by a law firm whose practice was in estate planning, probate and trust matters.  She is a graduate of the Texas Bankers Association Personal Trust School.  Suzan specializes in estate planning, probate and personal trust relationships, while also handling living trusts, insurance trusts and court appointed trusts and guardianships.

Francis "Rob" Borowy, Jr.

Vice President and Trust Officer specializing in Employee Benefits

Rob has been a Trust Officer since 1990.  He graduated from Texas Christian University with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree and has completed Texas Trust School I and II. Rob has extensive training and experience in ERISA and focuses on 401(k) Plans, Employee Stock Ownership Plans, retirement plans for small businesses, and rollover IRAs.  Rob has been a presenter for the Southwest Chapter of The ESOP Association and a member and past controller of the Tarrant County ERISA Group.

David Head

David Head is a Retirement Services Professional and Trust Officer for American National Bank of Texas. David has a BBA in Finance from the University of Texas and has twenty five years of experience in working with Retirement Plans and Personal Trusts. David has worked for some of the largest providers of Institutional Trust Services in the United States, including Wells Fargo Retirement Services and Northern Trust. David is a Certified Retirement Services Specialist, CRSP and CEBS candidate. David also actively participates in the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation.

Vickie Gutierrez

AVP, Trust Operations Manager

Vickie joined the Bank in 1991 with 13 years of prior Trust operations experience. She is a graduate of the Texas Bankers Association Personal Trust School. Vickie is responsible for all aspects of trust operations, security transactions and custodial arrangements.

Bonnie Peery

Bonnie attended Texas Wesleyan College, Fort Worth, and graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree. She has worked in the banking industry since 1984 and in the trust department since 1991.

Ginny McGinty

Trust Officer - Corporate and Institutional Services

Ginny joined American National Bank in June of 2004 as a Trust Operations Clerk.  She is currently the Custodial Account Administrator and Administrator for Paying Agent and Registrar relationships.  Ginny is the project manager for the Trust Department responsible for the oversight and implementation of investment portfolio overlay models through Concord Wealth Management utilizing their proprietary software. Ginny graduated from Texas A & M with a degree in Psychology and has completed two years at Cannon Trust School.  Currently she is a candidate studying for her CTFA.

Jeff Atwell

Senior Vice President, Trust Retirement Services, Business Development Manager

Jeff has worked in the Retirement Plan marketplace for 30 years; He owned and operated a successful third party administration firm in Midland for 17 years and spent the past 9 years with Nationwide Financial as a Regional Vice President. In 2009 Jeff won Nationwide’s Regional VP of the year award for production, and is known industry wide for his knowledge and work with qualified retirement plans.  Throughout his career he has been involved in designing, and implementing over 2,000 qualified plans of all types. Jeff brings a wealth of knowledge, contacts and relationships to the Wealth Management Group. Jeff is a native Texan, and attended Texas Tech. He is married to Lori, has one daughter and 3 grandchildren, and resides in Desoto.
